A Quantum Leap in Full-Service Machining Performance

INDEX will be presenting its new TRAUB TNX220 turn-mill centre. This is a further model based on the company's successful INDEX G series. The newly designed turn-mill centre incorporates numerous improved features.

With a spindle clearance of 76 mm, a chuck diameter of 230 mm and an extended turning length of 900 mm, the completely redesigned TRAUB TNX220 turn-mill centre represents a major leap in performance, INDEX reports. The company has various automation options available for the TNX200. A particularly noteworthy example of this is the new INDEX MBL 76 bar loading magazine. Adapted to the new machine design and the new turning spindle diameter, the unit is characterised by excellent damping properties, the exhibitor explains. Because it is powered solely by electricity, the unit is completely hydraulic-free with an ergonomic, setup-friendly design as well as high precision.

For flange or shaft parts, customers may choose from either an integrated workpiece handling unit with a double gripper or the new L-sized iXcenter robot cell. The control system comprises an adapted Mitsubishi TX8i-s V8 with an INDEX cockpit solution iXpanel for user-friendly operation.

INDEX will also be presenting its latest generation of universal turning machines at Intec 2023 – the INDEX B400 – as well as interesting new INDEX services.
